Name: Frans Smeets Subject: Salvacasa summer 2007 Now that your site is ready I would like to take the time to write something about last summer in your guestbook. We had a great time in Portugal. We found it great to have a private pool and an own BBQ at the house. The house is well decorated and the rooms are nice and spacious. The environment was very beautiful and touristic places in an hour's drive were really were worthwhile. We enjoyed Santarem Tomar and we are still enjoying the many valuable moments on terraces (Dam!!!!!) and at restaurants. Frans, Xandra, Daan, Michiel en Dethmar. Name: Frank & Ingrid City: Koog a/d Zaan Subject: Salvacasa Last summer we had 2 fantastic weeks in Salvacasa. After Lou’s warm welcome the children immediately jumped in the pool. A fantastic and very luxurious villa lacking no comfort! Delicious BBQ and on the porch, nice sun bathing and reading. The children still talk about Black and Pluto, Lou’s dogs and the trampoline that was in front of the house. There is plenty to do. Riding the new mountain bikes (upon request with Lou) swimming and delicious (and cheap) lunch by the lake, beach and terrace in Cascais, (a drive though), sailing on the Tague, eating chicken in the chicken restaurant and prawns and lobster. A diner at Torre in Porto Alto (highly recommended!) beautiful surroundings, peaceful and spacious. This part of Portugal is still great untapped in terms of tourism. Expects no boulevards and promenades with terraces, but quiet lovely, friendly people and "pre-war prices. Would you like a city buzz, than you're close to Lisbon or just drive on a bit and you get to Cascais. The two weeks past quickly, we’d be happy to come back again! We have enjoyed the house, pool, hiking in the surrounded area and a nice evening in Lisbon. On the morning of departure we played 9 holes on Riba Golfe. What a wonderful place to be! In one word, a true paradise. " For 3 weeks, we had the opportunity to relax: just sunbathe, relax, read and enjoy, especially the hospitality of Lou and Nella. We hope to return to Salvacasa soon. Name: Van de Laan This was a real wonderful house !!!!!! Brand new and big. Apart from some little unfinished things, the house was a big 10. The host is a friendly, Dutch man who welcomed us with a delicious bottle of wine! If you are looking for a quiet and authentic Portuguese environment this is the place to be, there is enough history and culture in the vicinity. We will surely visit again.
