If you go on a daytrip in Portugal, please consider the following practical information such as (local) holidays, opening hours and payment. Here below we listed the most important information.

Holidays and openings hours
January 1, Good Friday (differs every year), May 1, Corpus Christi, June 10, August 15, October 5, November 1, 1, 8 and 25 December. Always check local holidays during your stay. The opening hours of banks on working days are from 8.30 am to 15.00 pm. They are closed on national holidays as mentioned above. The shops in Portugal are open from 09.00 am to 07.00 pm Many shops are often open until 10 or 12 pm. Also on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Museums are open from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and between 02:00 pm to 05.00 pm except on Mondays. Some palaces are closed on Wednesdays. Payment

If you require supplements or medicines, visit the local village pharmacy. Close your holiday villa you find a pharmacy open 6 days a week. You can buy lot’s of things against colds, flu and f.i. muscles aches. Do you have any other complaints you can use the local (dental) doctor and get the same professional help as back home. And to reassure you.
